I like the short hair cut
My 9 year old son was just here with me at the computer and I showed him both pictures and asked him which one he liked best.
He pointed to the new and improved shorter hair cut. I just don't know what a 9 year olds opinion is worth but.. hey look at it one kid who likes the shorter hair cut, too. lol

Guilt over getting an old friend DF'ed

he was fading, but one day me and my dad were passing a convenience store and we saw him smoking outside.

That's a toughy.
I never ever particpated or was called into a J.C. to tell about someone else.
You have to know as well, that when you were a J.W., this is what you were programmed and taught to do. Your father along with what you had been taught pointed you in the direction to tell, tell, tell.
My opinion, forgive yourself for acting like a J.W. when you were a J.W. at the time.
....
I think there were probably some J.W.'s who really enjoyed telling on others but by your post I know that you just wasn't one of them.
If I would have been this man and if some years would have passed by, I would have forgiven you years ago. Besides, if he is in the military now, he doesn't want to be a J.W. anymore anyways. He too has made life choices that aren't the path of the J.W.s...

You live near the hospital. That in itself will give you an advantage.
So, glad you went over to emergency. I'm sure it means a lot to your mom even though she may not be able to say it to you directly.
Also, glad to here her heart in strong. That might be the key to help pull her through this.
Tea is good. Tea for you and tea for her. It's a good ice breaker and for me it calms me to be holding a cup of tea in my hands.
Keep us updated, my friend and respond to your phone messages and pm's when you feel you are up to it.

I didn't know until I read this thread just how serious this is.
I'm at a loss of what to say. I just wanna jump on a plane and fly over to be with you.
Just want to say my husband and I and our children truly enjoyed your company at our mini-fest here at our home ... but my heart is telling me that blueberry wine will not help with this.
This is a matter that requires some thought and talking through.

Yes I'm happier now that I have gone through my transition period.

I threw all the measuring sticks, rulers, measuring tapes out of the house.

Reading Glasses and Headaches
by Big Tex ini've had a terrible time the last 2 weeks with headaches.
they usually come on in the early afternoon and by the end of the day i can hardly see straight.
i don't wear glasses but i noticed that after working on the computer or documents and i get up to walk around my distance vision is poor, i.e.

Were You Treated With Respect When Counseled By The Elders?

There was one final one who was rounded up to speak to me and my husband.
He is known in some Canadian J.W. circles. Clive Thomas. I believe he is in the Canadian Bethel now, but not sure. He was the only one, that I would say, treated me with respect.
